Notice on The Science Popularization Works Creation Competition of Overseas Education College
为进一步提升我校来华留学生的医学素养、科学精神与创新表达能力，用生动有趣的方式传播医学知识、讲述医学故事、弘扬医学精神，展现福医来华留学生的专业风采，特举办本次科普大赛。现将有关事项通知如下：
To further enhance the medical literacy, scientific spirit, and innovative expressive ability of international students in our university, disseminate medical knowledge, narrate medical stories, and promote medical spirit in a vivid and engaging manner, and demonstrate the professional excellence of FJMU international students, this science popularization competition is hereby held. The relevant matters are notified as follows:

二、参赛对象

我校各类来华留学生，鼓励中外学生组队参赛
All international students enrolled in various programs at FJMU. Sino-foreign collaborative teams (Chinese and international students) are highly encouraged to participate.
三、大赛内容
Competition Scope & Work Categories
本次大赛聚焦前沿科技、生命健康、生态保护、数字社会等热点领域，征集科普视频、科普文章和科普平面设计三类原创作品。
This competition focuses on cutting-edge technology, life and health, ecological conservation, digital society and other key hot fields, and calls for submissions of three categories of original works: Science Popularization Videos, Science Popularization Articles, and Science Popularization Graphic Designs.
四、作品要求
Submission Requirements
（一）内容要求
Content Requirements
1．作品应维护中华人民共和国主权独立与完整，符合中华人民共和国法律法规要求，符合中国社会公序良俗，弘扬科学精神和科学家精神，遵守科技伦理。
1. All works shall uphold the sovereignty, independence and integrity of the People's Republic of China, comply with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, conform to the public order and good customs of Chinese society, promote the scientific spirit and the spirit of scientists, and abide by scientific and technological ethics.
2．参赛作品内容短而精，具有科学性、知识性、通俗性、严谨性、艺术性、创新性、趣味性，不得有虚假错误的内容。
2. The content of entries shall be short and concise, with scientificity, knowledge, popularity, rigor, artistry, innovation and fun, and shall not contain false or erroneous content.
3．参赛作品主题鲜明，围绕弘扬科学精神、普及科学知识、倡导科学方法、传播科学思想开展科普创作。
3. Entries shall have a distinct theme, and carry out science popularization creation around promoting the scientific spirit, popularizing scientific knowledge, advocating scientific methods and spreading scientific ideas.
4．参赛作品内容健康，科学严谨；结构完整，条理清楚，逻辑合理；贴近民众生活，具有较强的可读性、可视性，符合科普传播特点。
4. The content of entries shall be healthy and scientifically rigorous; complete in structure, clear in organization and reasonable in logic; close to public life, with strong readability and visibility, and in line with the characteristics of science popularization communication.
（二）作品形式要求
Format Requirements for Each Work Category
1. 科普视频类：视频时长2—10分钟，视频内容需与作者专业领域相符合，形式包括但不限于纪录片、宣传片、微电影、访谈、动画、AR、VR等，片头名称应与申报名称一致，配音和解说使用中文或英文，配字幕，字幕语言为简体中文或英文，字幕旁白无错误。画面清晰、流畅，构图合理，字幕及配乐得当，可供后续传播使用。画面比例为16:9（横屏）或9:16（竖屏），格式为MP4[视频文件编码为AVC(H264)]，高清分辨率≥1280*720，大小不超过300M。
1. Science Popularization Videos:
The video duration is 2-10 minutes, and the video content shall be consistent with the author's professional field. Forms include but are not limited to documentaries, promotional videos, micro-films, interviews, animations, AR, VR, etc.
The title at the beginning shall be consistent with the declared name in the submission. Dubbing and narration shall be in Chinese or English with subtitles, and the subtitle language shall be Simplified Chinese or English without errors in subtitles and narration.
The video shall be clear and smooth with reasonable composition, appropriate subtitles and background music, and available for subsequent communication. The aspect ratio is 16:9 (landscape/horizontal screen) or 9:16 (portrait/vertical screen), the format is MP4 [video file encoding is AVC (H264)], minimum HD resolution shall be 1280×720, and the size shall not exceed 300M.
2. 科普文章类：作品统一采用PDF格式，语言为简体中文或英文，字数在1200字（单词）以上（实际字数），文稿内容需与作者专业领域相符合，可插入配图，配图须插入文稿正文相应位置。作品要求能够表达至少1个科普知识点，科普主题突出，结构完整，行文通顺，语句流畅，通俗易懂。
2. Science Popularization Articles:
Submissions shall be provided in PDF format, in either Simplified Chinese or English. The minimum word count is 1200 Chinese characters for Chinese submissions, and 1200 words for English submissions.
The manuscript content shall be consistent with the author's professional field, and matching pictures can be inserted at the corresponding positions in the main text of the manuscript. Works are required to express at least one science popularization knowledge point, with prominent science popularization theme, complete structure, smooth writing, fluent sentences and easy understanding.
3. 科普平面设计类：体裁包括但不限于科普挂图、科普漫画、科普插画等，科普漫画可为四格漫画、条漫或一图读懂等表现形式，图中文字需清晰可见，语言为简体中文或英文。挂图作品规格统一为A1尺寸（594mm×841mm）。作品须配有标题及文字说明，内容完整，能够表达至少1个科普知识点，单幅、组图均可（组图按1件作品计算，每组限3-5幅），JPG格式提交，每张图片大小控制在5M以内。
3. Science Popularization Graphic Designs
Eligible formats include but are not limited to science popularization posters, comics, illustrations, etc. Comics may be presented in 4-panel, strip, or infographic formats, with clearly legible text in Simplified Chinese or English.
Technical specifications for poster works: Standard A1 size (594mm × 841mm). All works must be accompanied by a title and text descriptions, complete in content, and able to express at least one science popularization knowledge poin.
Submissions may be single-page or a series of images. A series of 3 to 5 images will be counted as one single entry. All works shall be submitted in JPG format, with each image file not exceeding 5MB in size.
五、活动安排
Competition Arrangements
（一）作品提交
Work Submission
请于5月15日前发送作品原件（以作品名称命名）、作品信息登记表（附件1电子版）、作品原创声明（附件2签字扫描版）至邮箱oecxgb@fjmu.edu.cn，邮件主题格式为“作品类别—作品名称—姓名—学号”。
All submission materials must be sent to the designated email address: oecxgb@fjmu.edu.cn before May 15.
1. The original work file (named after the full official title of the work)
2. The completed Work Information Registration Form (Attachment 1, editable electronic version)
3. The scanned copy of the signed Declaration of Originality (Attachment 2)
The email subject format shall be formatted strictly as follows: Work Category–Work Title–Name–Student ID.
（二）活动表彰
Awards & Recognition
综合参赛作品数量和质量，评选一、二、三等奖和优秀奖若干。对质量优异、内容新颖、科普性强的作品，将推荐参加福建省省级科普作品创作大赛。
First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize and Excellence Award will be granted to outstanding entries, with the number of awards determined based on the overall quantity and quality of valid submissions. Outstanding works with exceptional quality, innovative content, and strong science popularization value will be officially recommended for participation in the Fujian Provincial Science Popularization Works Creation Competition.
六、其他事项
General Provisions
（一）作品须为原创且未以任何形式公开发表，如涉及抄袭侵权行为，一经查实，将取消参赛资格并追究相关责任，因此产生的所有后果由作者本人负责。如有引用或借鉴，须在说明中明确标注。
1. All submitted works must be original, unpublished, and have not been submitted to any other public competitions or platforms. Once verified, any confirmed plagiarism, infringement, or multiple submissions will result in immediate disqualification. The entrant shall bear full legal liability and all consequences arising therefrom. All references and cited content must be clearly marked in the descriptions.
（二）作品中不得出现作者姓名、参赛单位名称等身份标识信息，背景不得有参加其他比赛标题痕迹。
2. No identification information such as the author’s name, affiliated institution, or other personal details shall appear in the works. No traces of titles or logos from other competitions shall be visible in the background.
（三）参赛作品使用权和所有权归福建医科大学海外教育学院所有，且参赛作品应为首次使用，禁止一稿多投。
3. The ownership and right to use all submitted creations shall belong to the Overseas Education College of Fujian Medical University. All works must be submitted for the first time, and multiple submissions are strictly prohibited.
（四）参赛作品可合理使用人工智能工具辅助创作，但核心创意、内容框架、科学逻辑与表达结构须由作者独立完成；凡使用AI生成图像、文本、视频、音频等内容的，须在《作品信息登记表》中如实注明AI工具名称及使用环节，作者应确保AI生成内容符合原创要求与相关法律法规，完全由AI自动生成且无作者原创性投入的作品不予参评。
4. Participants may reasonably use artificial intelligence tools to assist in creation. However, the core creativity, content framework, scientific logic, and expressive structure must be independently completed by the author. Anyone using AI-generated images, text, videos, audio, or other content must truthfully indicate the name of the AI tool and its usage in the Work Information Registration Form. The author shall ensure that AI-generated content complies with originality requirements and relevant laws and regulations. Works fully automatically generated by AI without any original contribution from the author shall not be eligible for evaluation.
（五）学院可对获奖作品进行适当编辑、优化后，用于公益科普宣传、学术推广、成果展示及校内外媒体发布等非商业用途。
5. The college may appropriately edit and optimize award-winning works for non-commercial purposes including public welfare science popularization, academic promotion, achievement exhibition, and release on internal and external media platforms.
（六）凡投稿人均被视为认可本通知各项内容的相关要求。
6. All submitters shall be deemed to have accepted and agreed to all terms and requirements set forth in this notice.
