III. Application Requirements
1. Nationality Requirements
（1）Non-Chinese citizens, physically and mentally healthy (without color blindness or color weakness).
（2）Those whose parents (one or both) are Chinese citizens and have settled in a foreign country, who have foreign nationality at the time of their birth, and who immigrate from Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan to foreign countries, as applicants for studying in China, must hold valid foreign passports or international certification documents for at least 4 years, and there is a record of actual residence abroad for at least 2 years in the past 4 years (as of April 30th of the enrollment year).
2. Age and Education Requirements
Applicants for master's degree should have bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifications, excellent academic performance, and generally not older than 36 years old.
Applicants for doctoral degree should have a master's degree or equivalent, have excellent academic performance, and generally be no older than 40 years old.
3.Language Requirements
（1）To apply for a professional master’s degree in Clinical Medicine, Oral Medicine, the applicants should know that their HSK level must be at level 5 or above.
（2）Applicants for Chinese teaching programs must have proof of HSK5 or other equivalent Chinese proficiency tests. Applicants whose Medium of instruction during the whole learning period of the highest academic qualification is Chinese can be exempted from the certification of Chinese test results, but must submit the certification of Chinese teaching issued by the graduation college or university.
（3）Applicants for the English Teaching Program: For those whose native language is not English, English language proficiency must be supported by IELTS (IELTS score not less than 6.0, single item score not less than 5.0), TOEFL (Internet-based TOEFL score is not less than 85, single item score not less than 20, or paper-based TOEFL score is not less than 580) , or other equivalent English test scores; for those whose native language is English, they should submit an official proof of English language instruction from the school of graduation.
IV. Application materials
1. A scanned copy of valid passport information page;
2. Proof of highest academic qualification. If the applicant is a student, he/she must submit a pre-graduation certificate or a certificate of enrollment issued by the school he/she is attending;
3. Academic transcripts (from undergraduate level). Scanned transcripts should include grades from undergraduate, master's (if any) and doctoral (if any) study stages up to the most recent semester. Transcripts can be provided in Chinese/English, if in a language other than English, an English translation must be provided and notarized;
4. ID Photo (2-inch bareheaded photo with blue background);
5. A scanned copy of the “Letter of Financial Guarantee for International Students from Fujian Medical University” and the guarantee material, which proves the personal financial proof or the source of financial resources in terms of family financial support, governmental financial support, or sponsorship by the financial guarantor;
6. Scanned copy of the original copy of “Physical Examination Form for Foreigners”, which is uniformly printed by the Chinese Health and Quarantine Department and must be completed in Chinese or English;
7. Proof of language proficiency;
8. Study and research program in China (in Chinese or English, not less than 800 words);
9. Two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors;
10. Pre-acceptance Letter of Fujian Medical University Supervisor for Graduate Students Studying in China (

11. Published academic papers or academic achievements (to be submitted if applying for doctoral degree).
★Regardless of the acceptance or non-acceptance, the above materials will not be returned.
★All the above forms can be downloaded from the website of College of Overseas Education, Fujian Medical University.
V. Application Methods
1. Applicants for non-Chinese Government Scholarship Programs should log on to the International Student Service Platform of Fujian Medical University
（http://fjmu.liuguanbao.com/Account/Login/）to complete the online application and upload the required application materials.
2. Applicants for the Chinese Government Scholarship Program apply in accordance with the process required by the China Scholarship Council. Related information can be found at the following link:

VI. Review and Admission
The College of Overseas Education conducts preliminary examination of the applicant's materials and notifies the applicant in writing to pay the application fee after passing the preliminary examination; the applicant is allowed to undergo the academic examination only after paying the application fee, which is non-refundable regardless of whether he/she is admitted or not.
Upon receipt of the notification of academic assessment from the College of Overseas Education, the professional faculty will conduct the assessment by interview according to the applicant's situation and professional requirements.
★ Pre-admission notification will be announced in batches starting from December 2024. Applicants of self-financed programs are required to confirm the prepayment of tuition fee within the deadline; otherwise, they are considered to give up their pre-admission status.
★Applicants can check the admission result on the International Student Service Platform of Fujian Medical University, and the university will then send the Admission Notice with the official seal of the university, and 《the Application Form for Visa Application Form for Foreign Students in China》 (JW201/JW202).
★After receiving 《the Admission Notice》 and 《the Visa Application Form for Foreign Students in China》 (JW201/JW202), the student shall apply for a visa to study in China at the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General and other visa authorities abroad with the above documents and the original and copy of 《the Record of Physical Examination of Foreigners》, as well as his/her valid ordinary passport.
VII. Enrollment time
September 1st- 5th , 2025 (specific time will be based on the Admission Notice).
★ Freshmen shall report to Overseas Education College for registration according to the deadline specified in the Admission Notice with the original Admission Notice, Application Form for Visa for Foreign Students Coming to China (JW201/JW202), personal passports, medical examination certificates and other relevant documents. Those who are unable to report on time for any reason should obtain prior approval from the university. Those who do not report on time without permission are considered to have given up their enrollment status.
★Students must report to the school with an X1 visa, otherwise the consequences will be borne by the students themselves.
VIII. Fees and Charges
1. Application Fee: RMB 800 per person (the application fee is non-refundable);
2. Tuition Fee
Master's degree students: RMB 38,000 /year (English language); RMB 35,000 /year (Chinese language);
PhD students: RMB 40,000/year (English); RMB 38,000/year (Chinese);
3. Accommodation Fee: RMB 4000/person/academic year (double room);
4.Other expenses: such as textbooks, meals, medical fees, dormitory utilities, internet, comprehensive insurance and residence permit application fees will be paid by the foreign students accordingly.
★ The above is for reference, the specific charges are subject to the pricing at the time of enrollment.
★ Full scholarship students from the Chinese government are exempted from paying the tuition fee, dormitory fee and comprehensive medical insurance fee.
