IV. Application Conditions

1. Non-Chinese citizens aged 18 to 30, in good physical and mental health (without color blindness or color weakness), who have graduated from high school or possess an equivalent academic qualification.

2. Applicants who were born as foreign nationals with one or both parents being Chinese citizens residing abroad, as well as those who have emigrated from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan to a foreign country and are applying as international students, must hold a valid foreign passport or international documentation for at least four years (inclusive) and provide proof of having actually resided abroad for more than two years within the last four years (by April 30 of the enrollment year).

3. Language Proficiency Requirements: Non-native English speakers must provide proof of English proficiency through an IELTS Academic test (with an overall score no less than 6.0 and no individual band score below 5.0), TOEFL iBT (with an overall score no less than 70 and no individual section score below 15 ), or an equivalent standardized English test. Native English speakers or applicants who have completed their previous education entirely in English are exempt from submitting English test scores but must provide official documentation from their previous institution certifying their English performance and confirming that the medium of instruction was English.

4. The previous academic performance shall meet one of the following requirements:

(1) Excellent performance in senior high school graduation examinations, with the score of mathematics no less than 70 points (out of 100 points), and the score of either physics or chemistry also no less than 70 points (out of 100 points).

(2) Having completed the Preparatory program recognized by our university and met the graduation standards.

5. A score not lower than 70 points (on a 100-point scale) in the entrance interview (conducted remotely or on campus).


V. Application Method

Access the Fujian Medical University International Student Service Platform (https://studyinfjmu.fjmu.edu.cn/#/login) complete the online application, and upload all required documents.


VI. Review and Admission

The university will review the completeness and authenticity of applicants' documents and arrange entrance examinations (consisting of an interview and written tests) for eligible candidates.

1. Interview

This session focuses on assessing the applicant's comprehensive qualities and language communication skills.

2. Written Tests

Test subjects: English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics.

Applicants who have obtained a valid Academic Proficiency Test for Undergraduate Admission of International Students to China (CSCA) score report may use it in lieu of the above tests.

3. Admission Process

(1) Issuance of a pre-admission notice.

Payment of the application fee and a deposit equivalent to 20% of the tuition fee.

(2) Formal admission.

Admitted applicants can check their admission results via the Fujian Medical University International Student Service Platform. The university will subsequently mail the official Admission Notice and the Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202 Form), both affixed with the official university seal.

(3) Visa Application

Upon receiving the Admission Notice and the Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202 Form), students must bring the original and photocopies of these documents, along with the original Physical Examination Record for Foreigners and their valid ordinary passport, to a Chinese embassy or consulate-general to apply for a student visa (X1 visa).

(4) Important Notes:

1) When making a payment, be sure to indicate your application number and full name.

2) Payment of the application fee and deposit fee will not be refunded.

3) If a student fails to register at the university within the specified registration period or declines the admission offer due to personal reasons, the application fee and the tuition deposit will not be refunded.

4) If an admitted student fails to meet the university's registration requirements upon enrollment and consequently has their admission revoked, the application fee and the tuition deposit will not be refunded.

5) Applicants in their final year of high school may also be considered for conditional admission. It is the applicant's responsibility to submit all required original documents (such as the high school graduation certificate, academic transcripts, language proficiency certificates, and other supplementary materials) at the time of registration. Failure to obtain and submit all required original documents will result in the revocation of admission.

6) Students must register at the university with a valid X1 visa. Otherwise, they shall bear all consequences arising from the failure to do so.


VII. Application Documents

1. Scanned copy of the information page of a valid passport.

2. Highest academic qualification certificate. If the applicant is currently enrolled as a student, a pre-graduation certificate or certificate of enrollment issued by the institution must be submitted.

3. Complete academic transcripts for the highest level of education attained (Chinese/English transcripts are acceptable; if in a language other than English, a notarized English translation is required).

4. ID photo (2-inch bareheaded, front portrait against a blue background).

5. Scanned copy of the Fujian Medical University Financial Guarantee Form for International Students and supporting financial documents, demonstrating personal funds, family support, government sponsorship, or financial sponsor backing.

6. Scanned copy of the original Physical Examination Form for Foreigners.pdf (the form must be the version uniformly issued by Chinese health and quarantine authorities and completed in Chinese or English).

7. Language proficiency certificate.

8. No criminal record certificate.

9. Academic Proficiency Test for Undergraduate Admission of International Students to China (CSCA) score report (Mathematics is a compulsory subject; either Physics or Chemistry may be chosen as an additional subject).

★ Submitted documents will not be returned, regardless of the admission outcome.

★ All the aforementioned forms can be downloaded from the website of the Overseas Education College of Fujian Medical University.


VIII. Registration Time

September 2026 (the specific date will be subject to the Admission Notice).


IX. Charging Standards

1. Application Fee: RMB 800 per person (The application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances).

2. Tuition Fee: RMB 35,000 per academic year.

3. Accommodation Fee: RMB 4,000 per person per academic year (double room).

4. Other Costs: Expenses such as textbook costs, meal expenses, medical fees, dormitory utilities, internet access, comprehensive insurance, and residence permit processing fees shall be borne by the student based on actual consumption.
