China Undergraduate Medical Innovation Tournament & The Belt and Road International Competition (hereinafter referred to as the Medical Innovation Competition) has been officially listed in the National College Student Competition Analysis Report released by the Chinese Society of Higher Education starting from 2023.As a guiding and exemplary scientific and technological innovation event for undergraduate students from universities nationwide, it aims to cultivate top-tier medical talents with innovative awareness and capabilities. A total of 10 international students from our college participated in its previous national and regional sessions. They honed their professional skills and enhanced innovative literacy through practice, laying a solid foundation and accumulating valuable experience for this competition.
To select and cultivate high-quality teams for the 12th National Medical Innovation Competition, the 7th university-level Medical Innovation Competition was successfully held at Qishan Campus on April 22. Attaching great importance to this event, our college organized 9 undergraduate teams to take part in the competition, including 28 international students from 18 countries, fully demonstrating their enterprising academic pursuit and high-spirited demeanor. Relying on solid professional knowledge, outstanding innovative capabilities and excellent on-site performance, 7 teams from our college stood out and won remarkable awards among 144 competing teams, claiming 4 First Prizes, 2 Second Prizes and 1 Third Prize, and setting a new record for our college in this competition.Fouroutstanding teams have successfully qualified for the semi-finals and will represent the university in the upcoming competitions.
These remarkable results fully reflect our college’s fruitful progress in the convergent education of international students. The college will continue to support international undergraduate students in participating in early scientific research practice and disciplinary competitions, build more platforms for academic exchange and skills enhancement, further advance the internationalization of medical education, and help cultivate exceptional international medical talents with both professional expertise and global vision.
